Young Agile Consortium workshop: Agile Against All Odds – The agile journey of ABN AMRO
** This event is targeted at students and young professionals (< 35 years) **
An agile transformation in the banking sector is a strange combination. How can Agile survive in a sector characterized by rigid laws and regulations? If you want to learn how to tackle this as an Agile Transformation Consultant, you can now participate in the free workshop for Young Agile Professionals on Thursday 9 March.
In 2015, ABN AMRO was forced to make the switch to Agile. An agile transformation was started in no time. Hundreds of IT teams switched to Scrum at the same time and those autonomous teams put enormous pressure under the traditional organizational structure. As a result, the entire organization had to transform full agile in 2017. In a few years, the Grid landscape, strategic agile portfolio management, scaled agile tooling and DevOps were set up. Such an agile journey at a bank does not go without a struggle.
Especially for the Young Agile Consortium, Ivo Bouwman, Senior Strategy & Transformation Consultant, takes you into the Agile transformation of ABN AMRO. What went well? But above all, what wasn’t going well? In this workshop you will learn what is involved in such a large agile transformation. Not only do you get an honest story, you will work together with other Young Agile professionals to resolve challenges that ABN AMRO struggled with. This is the ideal workshop to gain your (first) experience as an Agile Transformation Consultant.
